Efficient aerodynamics and spectacular looks: with its sophisticated range of refinements for the NOVITEC FERRARI SF90 SPIDER, NOVITEC once again reinforces its status as the world’s leading automotive refinement specialist for the great sports cars from Maranello. NOVITEC has taken on the challenge of enabling a modern super sports car with plug-in hybrid propulsion to perform even better on the road. The engine specialists developed special maps for the electronic management system of the four-liter twin-turbocharged four-liter combustion engine.

In addition, they have created a high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts. This combination achieves a power increase of 80 kW / 109 hp. Combined with the three electric motors, the result is a massive system output of 816 kW / 1,109 hp. As a result, the two-seater with folding roof accelerates from rest to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 340 km/h. Together with the 21-inch wheels developed in cooperation with Vossen, the NOVITEC carbon NOVITEC body modernization gives the mid-engined sports car an even more spectacular appearance.

A sports car, as we all know, can never have too much power and so NOVITEC has also developed a performance upgrade for the NOVITEC FERRARI SF90 SPIDER with plug-in hybrid propulsion. Work focused on the twin-turbocharged V8. In complex tests, new maps for injection, ignition and electronic boost pressure control were developed. These are fed into the two-seater’s engine management system by a NOVITEC N-TRONIC module for each cylinder bank. The developers have identified additional potential in the exhaust system.

The standard catalysts can be replaced with custom-developed 100-cell metal components that optimize emission control. They provide enhanced performance, as does the meticulously tuned NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system. High-temperature insulation lowers engine compartment temperatures, which also contributes to improved engine performance. Fine 999 gold-plated versions dissipate heat particularly efficiently and, of course, are also very attractive to the eye.

During the design and tuning of the system, the emphasis was naturally also placed on a throbbing exhaust note. Owners of a FERRARI SF90 SPIDER can choose between versions with and without electronic sound management via actively controlled butterfly valves. To give the rear-end appearance an additional enhancement, NOVITEC also offers 112 mm tailpipes with carbon trim.

The combination of all NOVITEC high-performance components increases the maximum power of the combustion engine by 80 kW / 109 hp and the maximum torque by 118 Nm. The three electric motors plus the 654 kW / 889 hp of the combustion engine tuned at 7,300 rpm add up to a system output of 816 kW / 1,109 hp.

As a result, the NOVITEC-tuned hybrid sports car accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and reaches 125 mph in just 6.5 seconds. Top speed increases to over 340 km/h. At these speeds, aerodynamics play a crucial role. That’s why NOVITEC designers went into the wind tunnel to develop spoilers that further optimize handling stability.

All parts are made from hollow carbon, which gives the NOVITEC FERRARI SF90 SPIDER a full-blooded racing look on top. The NOVITEC center spoiler and detachable side sections at the front produce additional downforce at high speeds. Carbon wings, which direct airflow past the front wheel arches, add to the aerodynamic finish.

The ducktail spoiler and rear diffuser provide outstanding aerodynamic balance. Carbon fiber from NOVITEC Manufaktur’s hand-finished NOVITEC Manufaktur production workshop adds further spectacular elements to the SF90 Spider.

Design & Aerodynamics

The front cowl can be visually enhanced with two lower air outlet vents and a windshield cover. The NOVITEC Race fenders and their upper air outlets give the sports car an undiluted racing look and evacuate the air heated by the front brakes from the wheel arches more quickly. NOVITEC also extensively modifies the side view.

This includes carbon rocker panels, side mirror caps and window trim. NOVITEC air deflection elements behind the doors optimize fresh air supply to the engine. The NOVITEC designers’ love of detail is complemented by the custom-made nude carbon elements for the engine compartment and bonnet, as well as the finishes for the luggage compartment at the front of the vehicle. NOVITEC also offers exclusive alloy wheels for the NOVITEC FERRARI SF90 SPIDER.

The company has secured the services of high-class American manufacturer Vossen as a supplier. Vossen manufactures these wheels using state-of-the-art forging and machining technologies. The NOVITEC NF10 rims oblige thanks to five delicate double-spoke spokes and centerlock-look hub cap.

The 9.5Jx21 wheels with 255/30 ZR 21 tires on the front axle and 12Jx21 and 325/25 ZR 21 tires on the rear axle make perfect use of the available space under the wheel arches. Alternatively, the complete range for the NOVITEC FERRARI SF90 SPIDER includes other exclusive wheels with diameters of 20 and 21 inches. NOVITEC sport springs can further fine-tune the appearance and driving dynamics.

They lower the hybrid Ferrari’s ride height by 30 millimeters at the front and 25 millimeters at the rear axle. This not only benefits the looks, but also makes handling even more agile thanks to the lower center of gravity. A front lift system is also part of the NOVITEC range. This raises the front of the car by 40 millimetres at the touch of a button in the cabin, making it easier to drive over obstacles or park ramps.

NOVITEC also customizes the interior fittings of any NOVITEC FERRARI SF90 SPIDER according to the customer’s wishes. To this end, NOVITEC offers leather and Alcantara in almost any color, which they transform into interiors with a multitude of patterns.
