Performance

The company’s product range for the twin-turbo V6 engine includes engine tuning to 523 kW / 711 hp and 818 Nm of maximum torque, as well as high-performance exhaust systems culminating in a super-light INCONEL variant with 999 fine gold plating. NOVITEC uses naked-carbon aerodynamic improvement components, high-tech forged wheels with diameters up to 21 inches and sport springs to make the thrilling appearance of the two-seater model even more spectacular.

NOVITEC also adapts every detail in the passenger compartment to the customer’s personal wishes, upon request. The three-liter engine, with six cylinders and two turbochargers, offers an exceptional starting point for a powerful tuning. NOVITEC engineers have developed various performance upgrades for the MC20 that release the reserves sleeping in the engine. For this purpose, two NOVITEC N-TRONIC plug-and-play modules are adapted to the electronic control system of the NOVITEC MASERATI MC20 engine.

They introduce special maps for injection, supercharging and ignition pressure control, which makes the sports car considerably more dynamic. As a perfect complement, NOVITEC offers precision-tuned high-performance exhaust systems in different versions. The sports diffusers let the V6 breathe more freely, while giving it an even sportier exhaust note. NOVITEC also offers sport catalysts with 100 cells, even lighter and more efficient, to optimize performance even more.

All exhaust components are wrapped in high-temperature thermal insulation, which reduces the temperatures in the engine compartment. The NOVITEC MASERATI MC20 exhaust systems, which are optionally provided with an active sound management system by means of butterfly valves controlled in the exhaust, can be ordered in stainless steel or in particularly light INCONEL, which is also used in Formula racing 1.

To further optimize heat dissipation, 999 fine gold plating is available for these systems as an additional option. To further enhance the appearance of the rear, the exhaust systems can be combined with NOVITEC carbon/ stainless steel with a diameter of 100 millimeters, whose inclined design matches the contours of the back.

The combination of modified engine controls and the NOVITEC MASERATI MC20 sports exhaust system considerably increases the performance of the six-cylinder engine. This produces an increase in maximum power by 59.6 kW / 81 HP and raises the maximum torque by 88 Nm. The V6 biturbo engine with NOVITEC tuning develops an impressive power of 523 kW / 711 HP at 7,400 rpm and produces the maximum torque of 818 Nm between 3,000 and 5,500 rpm.

This is also beneficial for road performance. The thunderous two-seater reaches the speed of 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and 200 km/h in just 8.4 seconds. The maximum speed is over 325 km/h. On the road, the performance update of the NOVITEC MASERATI MC20 not only results in an even sportier performance, but also an even more instantaneous acceleration response and a stronger acceleration on the move.

Design | Aerodynamics

Of course, for such a fast car, not only the captivating appearance, but especially the aerodynamic efficiency is paramount. For this purpose, NOVITEC carried out extensive tests in the wind tunnel. The NOVITEC components for improving aerodynamics are made of hollow carbon with high gloss sealing and complement the standard carbon elements. The front NOVITEC lip spoiler gives the mid-engined sports car an even more striking face.

Plus: It also reduces front axle lift, which further improves handling stability at high speeds. NOVITEC designers have modeled a rear spoiler in the shape of a duck’s tail to generate even more downforce at the rear.

The competitive appearance of the NOVITEC MASERATI MC20 model is completed by the bare carbon inserts for the front hood and the air deflector elements for the air intakes at the rear. The NF 10 rims, developed in collaboration with Vossen, also play a role in the glossy NOVITEC design.

The American manufacturer of high-end rims produces them using the latest generation forging and processing technologies. With the five delicate twin spokes, they not only enhance the design of the vehicle, but also offer an optimal combination of lightweight construction and maximum strength.

The rims were designed to optimally fill the available space under the wheel arches. In addition, the staggered combination of front and rear diameters puts even more emphasis on the wing shape of the NOVITEC MASERATI MC20. The 9Jx20 front wheels are fitted with 255/35 ZR 20 high-performance tires. The rear axle uses 325/25 ZR 21 tires on 12Jx21 rims.

These make the handling even more direct and sportier, an effect that can be further optimized with the NOVITEC sports springs, which lower the ride height of the two-seater by approximately 25 millimeters. NOVITEC also refines the interior of the NOVITEC MASERATI MC20 model at the customer’s request.
