BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” – LIMITED EDITION “1 OF 10”

The Mercedes G Class BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” was presented at Top Marques Monaco 2019 together with the latest exclusive boat from BRABUS, which also serves as the inspiration for the exterior color scheme of the limited edition model. BRABUS 500 “Shadow OPS” limited edition “1 of 28” is a pleasure craft with a maximum speed of over 50 knots (92.6 km/h/57.5 mph), which is produced in collaboration with the Finnish manufacturer Axopar Boats.

The basis for the exclusive high-performance off-roader, which is built in a strictly limited edition of only ten vehicles, is the current Mercedes-AMG G 63. Equipped with the spectacular BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody and the BRABUS “Platinum Edition” hi-tech forged wheels of 23 inches, it is distinguished not only by its special color combination, but also in terms of the design of the exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior.

Mercedes G Class BRABUS “SHADOW”: POWER AND SOUND. REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE.

In addition to the unusual appearance, this limited edition BRABUS supercar offers high performance in its purest form. The twin-turbo Mercedes G Class BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” V8 engine with a displacement of 3,982 cc (243 cu in) is equipped with two high-performance BRABUS turbochargers with a larger compressor unit and a modified core assembly with a strengthened axial bearing. They produce a maximum boost pressure of 1.6 bar.

The BRABUS stainless steel sports exhaust optimizes power delivery and, thanks to the integrated actively controlled flaps, offers a wide range of exhaust notes, from a guttural V8 sound in “Sport” mode to a subtle whisper in “Coming Home” mode. This exhaust system is also a visual treat with the two black chrome tailpipes that exit left and right in front of the rear wheels.

The engine produces a maximum power of 588 kW / 800 HP (789 bhp) at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) at 3,600 rpm, propelling the BRABUS SHADOW 800 from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph ) in just 4.1 seconds. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h.

EXTERIOR. APPEARANCE WITH CHARISMA.

Just like this agile 30-foot boat, the new supercar benefits from a special “Gunmetal Gray” paint job. For contrast, key WIDESTAR components, such as the fender flares and front and rear side skirts, are painted gloss black.

Other important design elements on the Mercedes G Class BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” – as on the ship – are the carefully placed BRABUS naked-carbon elements, such as the radiator grille frame, the bonnet recess and the “Power Beams” LED auxiliary light unit ” from the ceiling. Additional carbon elements are found at the rear, such as the side sections of the BRABUS roof wing and the central section of the spare wheel cover with the BRABUS logo.

WHEELS AND CHASSIS. DESIGN MEETS TOP TECHNOLOGY.

The most exclusive option for the WIDESTAR Mercedes G Class BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” version is represented by the 23-inch BRABUS Monoblock “Platinum Edition” forged wheels, which offer a perfect combination of light construction and extraordinary resistance. The 11Jx23 rims are available in four different BRABUS models.

The BRABUS Monoblock F “BLACK PLATINUM Special Edition” BRABUS Monoblock forged wheels are painted gloss black to match their name and feature a “BLACK PLATINUM” badge on the outer flange. The high-performance tires of size 305/35 R 23 provided by technological partners BRABUS CONTINENTAL, PIRELLI or YOKOHAMA were chosen as the optimal solution.

The interior can of course also be customized to suit the vehicle owner’s personal preferences. The same is true for the many variants of noble wood and carbon inserts, which can also be manufactured in a multitude of different colors and models. The Mercedes G Class BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” captivates inside with an individual extravagance that also represents the highest quality of workmanship: The exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior of this supercar features an attractive combination of black, light gray and red leather.

A prime example of the quality of the BRABUS upholstery work is the central section of each seat. The “Light Shadow Gray” leather has a square quilting applied with precise precision. Together with the perforations and the red support underneath, this creates a discreet appearance. The BRABUS elements for the inner surfaces of the A-pillars are made of Alcantara, which is elaborately finished with the same pattern applied with extreme precision. The embossed BRABUS logos and red embroidered BRABUS logos on the headrests document the noble lineage of this supercar.

The “1 of 10” label of the limited edition Mercedes G Class BRABUS 800 “SHADOW” is integrated into the grab handle mounted on the dashboard for the front passenger of this supercar. Some naked-carbon elements in the interior represent the sporty note of this high-class automobile.
