A diffuser developed especially for the electric car gives the rear part of the widebody version a decidedly sporty look. In keeping with the dynamic principle of this supercar, the black show car for Geneva features red accents on the central spoiler blade, on the rocker panels and on the rear diffuser.

This is also largely due to the BRABUS suspension, with a sporty and comfortable setup that has been precisely calibrated to the important parameters of the electric car, the ultra-low-profile tires and the wider track .

Due to the fact that they are produced by means of an elaborate high-tech forging process, the rims for the SMART BRABUS model are called Monoblock Y. In order to achieve significantly improved dynamics, BRABUS engineers, technicians and programmers have developed a performance upgrade for the three-phase synchronous motor of the smart fortwo EQ cabrio from the year of manufacture 2020. To this end, they called on the expertise of BRABUS ZERO EMISSION, the division of business of the BRABUS Group founded in 2008 and dedicated to the development of alternative propulsion concepts.

The performance enhancement for SMART BRABUS PowerXtra for the electric powertrain of the SMART BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift model includes a reprogrammed torque control system, special modules for the driving dynamics switch and accelerator pedal, as well as a special gate. The perfect synchronization of all these changes unleashes the inherent reserves of this electric powertrain from the factory.

The “driving fun switch” in the cockpit allows the driver to choose between four different driving modes. Level 1 corresponds to the standard electric motor of the current SMART BRABUS EQ fortwo. The “Eco” level increases the rate of energy recovery, which means that the two-seat model brakes much more strongly than the standard model when you lift the accelerator. Level 3 represents “Sport”. The accelerator pedal provides a faster response, and the energy recovery rate is reduced to the production level.

BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift offers maximum dynamics in “Sport +” mode: Maximum power increases to 68 kW / 92 HP (91 bhp), and maximum torque increases to 180 Nm (133 lb-ft), with 20 Nm (15 lb- ft) more than in the case of the standard vehicle. In this way, the driver is delighted not only by the more lively electric powertrain, but also by the even more instant response to the accelerator pedal commands.

The exclusive city sports car also offers a maximum degree of ecology, as it is neutral in terms of carbon emissions, despite its impressive performance on the road. Depending on the driving style, the SMART Ultimate E Facelift has a range of up to 125 kilometers (78 miles) on a single battery charge, in line with its intended use as a city speedster.

INTERIOR. INDIVIDUAL HANDMADE MASTERPIECES.

The BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift city sports car would not be complete without an exclusively designed cockpit, enhanced in the company’s upholstery workshop with a fine BRABUS leather interior, in every detail adapted to the personal preferences of the vehicle owner. Like any BRABUS fine leather interior, the interior of the two-seater model is a perfect example of an ideal combination of fascinating design, masterful craftsmanship and high-quality material selection.

The interior of the SMART BRABUS Ultimate E model is equipped with BRABUS Mastik black leather upholstery, particularly soft and breathable, black color. The bright red double stitching matches the accents on the body. In addition, the surfaces of the seats and the inner sections of the two door panels feature a honeycomb quilting applied with precise precision.

The BRABUS aluminum pedals, gear shifter and emergency brake handle give the passenger compartment a racing look. The protective plates integrate a BRABUS logo, which, like the emblem in the stainless steel footrest in the driver’s footwell, changes color from white to red. The high-quality leather floor mats with the BRABUS ULTIMATE E logo complete the elegant ambience.

Of course, the extended range of equipment of the SMART BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift model also includes elementary comfort elements, such as the air conditioning system, audio and navigation system. The “BRABUS Ultimate E” badge on the dashboard documents the affiliation to the exclusive BRABUS supercar family.
